I’m Joyce Whitman. This is my 7th year at Manual Middle School. I will be teaching 7th Grade ELA and Honors and am the Gifted and Talented Coordinator and Educator. I have been teaching for longer than I want to admit! I have my undergraduate degree in anthropology and sociology from Albion College and my masters degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of Denver. I grew up in the great state of Michigan in Detroit. I have two sons, Karl and Liam, and a beautiful daugther in law, Arielle. Ask anyone and they will tell you that I am a huge Jack White fan, that I think Shakespeare is amazing, I want a vintage mustang when I grow up, I love to cook, garden, hike, fish and camp.
