Intentional Community
- Manual MS has created an inclusive community where race, gender, and cultural identities are respected and students feel a sense of belonging (21% White, 23% African American, and 40% Hispanic).
- Inclusive special education population as well as a stellar MI (Multi-Intensive) Center Program
- Strong gifted and talented (GT) program where students are driving their extended learning with cohorts of like-minded peers. Our identified students mirror our student populace! Students are placed in advanced math and advanced language arts classes per their ability and interest.
- MMS implements Social Justice and anti-bullying lessons during weekly Advisory (“No Place for Hate” Excellence Award in the Mountain Region).

We have phenomenal staff including a School Counselor, School psychologist, School Social worker, and Dean of Students.

Expeditionary Learning
- Excursions connected to standards and current lessons/ units. Example: 7th graders are studying plate tectonics and fossils in Science so we traveled to the Hogback and Morrison Natural History Museum so students can see the landforms and the place where dinosaurs were uncovered in Colorado.
- Enrichment block with 30+ options for students. This 6th period of the day is a time for students to explore more of their passions and interests. Some courses are Gardening, Ceramics, Sports Training, Dance with the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Studio, and Robotics.
- Accelerated Learning to ensure that struggling students are given additional support to succeed.
Strong sporting and after school club culture
- A variety of sports for every season
- Championship level for flag football (20-21), volleyball, baseball, girls baseball, etc.
- Lots of high interest clubs, like Dungeons and Dragons, gaming club, chess, swimming/ diving and many others!
