I’m very excited to be entering my 6th year at Manual MS and my 4th year as the 8th grade science teacher and I can’t wait to see the curiosity, creativity and joy students bring to my classroom this year! I am a proud product of Aurora, CO and a graduate of Morehouse College (B.S. Biology) and University of Denver (M.A, Curriculum & Instruction). When I’m not at school you might find me working in my garden, riding my bike, or at a local coffee shop. I hope from my class, students can see that science practices like questioning, observing, and contructing explanations are ones that they already apply in their everyday lives and they can continue to use these skills to more deeply understand the world around them.
