I am the 6th grade English Language Arts teacher and I am excited to begin my fourth year with the Manual Middle School Community. I am originally from a small suburb of Los Angeles, California, where I grew up playing sports, competing in cheerleading, and eventually competing with my high school marching band and color guard. I then moved to northern California to obtain my Bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in Comparative Literature. Not long after that, I moved to Colorado to obtain my master’s degrees (in Early Childhood Education and Secondary English). I love teaching at Manual because our community values diverse perspectives, creativity, and compassion while maintaining a commitment to continuous growth. When I’m not teaching, I’m a homebody – hanging out with my husband and our dog, Leo.
